Job Title: Registered Professional Nurse (LTC)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Professional Nurse to join our team in a Long-term Care (LTC) facility. The ideal candidate will provide quality nursing care to our residents, ensure their safety and well-being, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess the healthcare needs of residents and create individual care plans.
2. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
3. Monitor residents' vital signs and update medical records.
4. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
5. Educate residents and their families about treatment plans and medications.
6. Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.
7. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6. Basic computer skills for medical charting.
7. BLS certification required.
8. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
