Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) PCU Stepdown
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the PCU Stepdown unit. As a Travel RN, you will provide expert nursing care to patients who are transitioning from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a lower acuity level. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patient vitals and assess their condition on a continuous basis
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Coordinate patient care plans and update medical records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
- Educate patients and families on their health conditions and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or Stepdown unit
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and healthcare environments
