Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality care to patients under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider. The CMA will perform various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our medical facility and the best possible patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
2. Prepare patients for procedures and collect specimens as needed
3. Record patient vital signs and medical history accurately
4. Perform routine medical procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
5. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
6. Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
7. Assist with scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries
8. Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
10. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
6. Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
8. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
9. CPR certification preferred
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
