Job Title: Surgery Scrub Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Surgery Scrub Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting operating room staff during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile supplies and equipment. You will be essential in ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment for both patients and medical personnel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and organize sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during surgeries
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure aseptic technique is followed at all times
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary assistance
- Monitor and manage surgical instruments and equipment
- Handle specimens according to established procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and transferring during surgeries
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to surgical procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a certified surgical technologist program
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Previous experience working in a surgical setting
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and aseptic practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
