Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room / Circulate
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team as a Circulating Nurse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The Circulating Nurse will work closely with the surgical team to coordinate patient care and provide support throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patient condition before, during, and after surgery
- Setting up and preparing the operating room for procedures
- Communicating with the surgical team to ensure proper equipment and supplies are available
- Monitoring patient vital signs and assisting with anesthesia administration
- Maintaining a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
- Documenting patient care and any changes in condition
- Providing post-operative care and education to patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
