Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team and assist in the collection and processing of blood samples for medical testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing blood from patients, labeling and storing samples correctly, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all individuals undergoing phlebotomy procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and sanitary manner
- Label and organize specimens for transport to the laboratory
- Verify patient information and provide clear instructions for post-phlebotomy care
- Maintain accurate records of all blood draws and patient interactions
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times
- Assist in training new staff members on proper phlebotomy techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (CPT or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
