Job Title: LDRP Nurse (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
Job Summary:
The LDRP Nurse is responsible for providing care and support to women throughout the various stages of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. They work closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and the newborn.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor mother and baby's vital signs during labor and delivery.
2. Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
3. Assist with the delivery process and provide emotional support to the mother.
4. Monitor postpartum recovery and provide education on newborn care.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure a safe and comfortable delivery experience for the mother and baby.
6. Document patient care and update medical records accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
3. Previous experience in labor and delivery or women's health.
4. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
