Job Title: Operating Room Nurse (Circulate/Scrub)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared for each surgery, and maintaining a sterile environment. The Operating Room Nurse will circulate and/or scrub during surgeries, providing direct patient care and monitoring patients throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, sponges, and other necessary items
- Maintain sterile techniques throughout the surgical procedure
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures
- Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately
- Assist with cleaning and restocking the operating room after procedures
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience circulating and scrubbing in a variety of surgical procedures
