Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN), PREOP/PACU RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients before and after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
2. Monitor patients postoperatively in the PACU, assessing their condition and managing pain and other postoperative complications.
3. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
4. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.
5. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Preoperative and PACU nursing.
3. BLS and ACLS certifications.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
