Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As a Pediatric RN, you will be responsible for providing care and support to infants, children, and adolescents in a hospital or clinical setting. Your primary focus will be on assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and their families on proper healthcare practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments of pediatric patients’ health status and develop care plans
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and overall condition
4. Educate patients and families on proper healthcare practices and treatments
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
6. Assist with medical procedures and treatments as needed
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
8. Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times
9. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
3. Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
7. Compassion and empathy for pediatric patients and their families
8. Knowledge of current healthcare practices and regulations
9. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
10. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
