Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during the labor and delivery process. You will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and smooth delivery of babies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the mother and baby's vital signs during labor
- Assist with pain management techniques, including medication administration and comfort measures
- Educate and support mothers and their families throughout the labor and delivery process
- Assist with the delivery of babies, including providing care to the newborn
- Monitor for any signs of complications and take appropriate action
- Document all care provided accurately and timely
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in labor and delivery nursing (L&D) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and protocols
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families
