Job Title: Post Partum, Obstetrics RN, Nursery, Labor and Delivery Nurse, Antepartum
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team in providing care to mothers and newborns in various stages of the maternity process. The ideal candidate will have experience in postpartum, obstetrics, nursery, labor and delivery, and antepartum nursing, and will be dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide care and support to mothers and newborns in the postpartum unit
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures and provide emotional support to expectant mothers
- Monitor and assess the progress of labor and delivery and provide appropriate interventions as needed
- Care for newborns in the nursery, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for all patients
- Educate patients and their families on proper postpartum and newborn care techniques
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and interventions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in postpartum, obstetrics, nursery, labor and delivery, or antepartum nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
