Job Title: Registered Nurse, Critical Access Hospital RN, Critical Care (CCU)
Job Summary:
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse at a Critical Access Hospital, you will provide specialized care for patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU). You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing critical patients, administering medications, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide direct patient care in the Critical Care Unit
2. Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
4. Implement and evaluate patient care plans
5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
6. Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and prevention
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
9. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current on best practices in critical care nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
4. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
8. Attention to detail and strong observation skills
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
10. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
