Job Description

Job Title: RN Perioperative Manager (Operating Room, Perioperative Services)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Perioperative Manager to lead and coordinate operations within the Operating Room and Perioperative Services. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the OR and perioperative areas including pre-op, intra-op, and post-anesthesia care units (PACU).
Supervise and support perioperative nursing staff, surgical technologists, and support teams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and evidence-based clinical practices.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and efficient surgical schedule.
Manage staff scheduling, recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluations.
Monitor departmental budgets, inventory, and equipment to support operational goals.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and surgical safety.
Ensure continuous readiness for accreditation and compliance audits (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).

Qualifications:

Current RN license in good standing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum 5 years of perioperative nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
CNOR certification highly preferred.
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Knowledge of surgical workflows, infection control, and safety regulations.
