Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
Our hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Nurses to provide critical care to patients in our fast-paced emergency room. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and communication skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately upon arrival in the emergency room.
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
3. Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
5. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
6. Assist with emergency procedures, such as intubation and CPR.
7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- 2+ years of experience in emergency room nursing
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
