Job Title: Sleep Technologist
Job Summary:
The Sleep Technologist will be responsible for conducting overnight sleep studies to diagnose and treat sleep disorders. This role involves setting up and monitoring equipment, analyzing data, and working closely with patients to ensure accurate results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Set up and calibrate sleep study equipment
2. Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort during testing
3. Monitor patients throughout the night and observe their sleep patterns
4. Collect and analyze data to diagnose sleep disorders
5. Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
6. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop treatment plans
7. Stay current on sleep study techniques and industry trends
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Certification in sleep technology (RPSGT or equivalent)
3. Knowledge of sleep study equipment and procedures
4. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
5. Excellent communication and patient care skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Basic computer skills for data analysis and record-keeping
