Job Title: Cardiac Progressive Care Nurse
Job Summary:
As a Cardiac Progressive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions in the CPCU, CVICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Telemetry Cardiac, or Critical Care (CCU) units. You will monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patients' cardiac status and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions and treatment options
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during stressful periods
- Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and pacemaker placements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac nursing
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and treatment protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
