Job Title: Crisis Intervention Specialist Licensed (Psych/Mental Health)
Job Summary:
The Crisis Intervention Specialist Licensed (Psych/Mental Health) is responsible for providing immediate crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies. This position requires a deep understanding of mental health issues, crisis intervention techniques, and the ability to provide support and resources to individuals in crisis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct immediate assessments of individuals experiencing mental health crises.
2. Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in crisis, including de-escalation techniques and emotional support.
3. Coordinate with mental health professionals and emergency services to ensure appropriate care and follow-up for individuals in crisis.
4. Develop crisis intervention plans and safety plans for individuals at risk of harm to themselves or others.
5. Provide referrals to mental health services and community resources for ongoing support.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of crisis intervention services provided.
7. Participate in crisis intervention training and professional development opportunities.
8. Collaborate with other mental health professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated care for individuals in crisis.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Licensed mental health professional (e.g. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist).
2. Experience working in crisis intervention or mental health emergency services.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
5. Knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis intervention techniques, and community resources.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals and emergency services personnel.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
