Job Description

Job Summary:

The Operating Room (OR) Technologist prepares surgical suites, assists the surgical team during procedures, and ensures sterile technique and efficient room turnover. This vital role supports optimal patient outcomes through technical expertise and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms and sterile instruments prior to surgeries
Assist during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field
Ensure equipment functionality and inventory readiness
Maintain accurate surgical counts and documentation
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certification (CST) preferred or required depending on state
BLS certification required
1+ year of OR experience preferred
