We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Risk Manager / Quality Nurse to support patient safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance through the identification, investigation, and resolution of clinical risk issues. This hybrid role requires a nursing background with strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance improvement practices.
Identify, investigate, and mitigate clinical risks, patient safety incidents, and adverse events
Lead or participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs)
Collect and analyze quality metrics, trends, and safety indicators to improve outcomes
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (Joint Commission, CMS, state boards, etc.)
Educate clinical staff on risk prevention, best practices, and evidence-based standards
Collaborate with legal, compliance, nursing, and medical teams to manage risk proactively
Monitor, audit, and report on infection control, medication safety, and clinical documentation
Participate in quality improvement projects and policy development
Maintain internal databases for incident reporting, follow-up, and regulatory readiness
Support surveys, inspections, and external audits
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Quality, or related field (Master’s preferred)
3–5+ years of clinical nursing experience; 1–2 years in quality, risk, or patient safety preferred
Strong knowledge of hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
Experience with incident reporting tools (e.g., RLDatix, Verge, MIDAS)
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality)
CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety)
ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
