(Regulatory Manager)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Manager of Medical Staff Services to lead credentialing, privileging, and regulatory compliance across our healthcare system. This leadership role ensures alignment with accrediting bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS) and plays a key role in medical staff governance, quality, and organizational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep knowledge of medical staff operations and regulatory standards, and the ability to manage credentialing processes across multiple entities.
Oversee and manage the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for all medical staff and allied health professionals across the system
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency requirements (TJC, NCQA, CMS, etc.)
Collaborate with medical executive committees, department chairs, and senior leadership to support medical staff governance
Develop and implement system-wide policies and procedures for credentialing and privileging
Lead audits, surveys, and inspections related to medical staff services and regulatory compliance
Maintain the centralized credentialing database and ensure data integrity and security
Supervise and mentor credentialing and medical staff office teams at multiple locations
Serve as a resource for interpreting regulatory and legal standards related to medical staff operations
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) required
5+ years of progressive experience in medical staff services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or multi-site management role
Deep understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements (TJC, CMS, NCQA, etc.)
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience with credentialing software systems (e.g., MD-Staff, Cactus) preferred
Lead a system-wide impact on patient safety and clinical quality
Be a regulatory expert and valued liaison between administration and medical staff
