🏥 Operating Room RN / Circulator – Job Description

Position Overview:

We are hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Operating Room RN (Circulator) to join our perioperative team. The RN Circulator plays a critical role in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient care throughout the surgical process by coordinating with the surgical team and advocating for the patient before, during, and after the procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the circulating nurse for surgical cases across various specialties (general, ortho, neuro, etc.)

• Prepare and verify surgical room setup, instrumentation, and supplies

• Monitor and document the patient’s condition throughout the surgical procedure

• Maintain a sterile and safe environment in accordance with AORN standards

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, scrub techs, anesthesiologists, and post-op teams

• Confirm proper patient identification, procedure verification, and consent

• Maintain accurate and thorough intraoperative records

• Ensure specimen labeling and handling procedures are followed

• Advocate for patient safety, privacy, and dignity at all stages of surgery

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Operating Room Circulator RN experience

• BLS and ACLS certifications required (CNOR preferred)

• Familiarity with electronic charting (e.g., Epic, Cerner)

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Schedule:

Full-Time | Day shifts or variable shifts | Call rotation and weekend coverage may apply
