Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) to join our surgical team. The RNFA will collaborate with surgeons and the perioperative team to provide high-quality patient care in the operating room. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes, and maintaining safety standards.
Provide direct surgical assistance under the supervision of the surgeon.
Perform preoperative and postoperative patient assessments.
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments.
Assist with wound closure, tissue handling, and surgical instrumentation.
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for comprehensive care planning.
Ensure adherence to all safety and infection control protocols.
Document surgical care accurately and maintain patient records.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA).
Minimum 2+ years of perioperative or surgical nursing experience.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in high-pressure surgical settings.
Operating room and surgical care units.
