📌 Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sleep Technologist (Polysomnographer) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing sleep studies, monitoring patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and ensuring accurate data collection for physician interpretation. This role requires strong technical skills, patient care abilities, and knowledge of sleep disorders and related treatments.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Conduct overnight and daytime sleep studies, including polysomnography, CPAP/BiPAP titration, MSLT, and MWT testing.
Apply electrodes and sensors according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.
Monitor patients during studies, documenting observations and responding to patient needs.
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot sleep-related events such as apneas, hypopneas, and arousals.
Operate and calibrate sleep study equipment.
Score sleep studies according to AASM standards for physician review.
Educate patients on sleep disorders, equipment use, and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols.
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the testing process.

📌 Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field preferred.
Completion of an accredited polysomnography program.
RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or eligibility to obtain certification.
Knowledge of sleep physiology, sleep disorders, and therapeutic interventions.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts (overnights, weekends, holidays as required).
