Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Chemotherapy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our cancer care team. The RN will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and infusion treatments, monitoring patients during therapy, and providing education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the oncology care process.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion medications safely and accurately.
Monitor patients for side effects, adverse reactions, and overall treatment response.
Educate patients and families about chemotherapy protocols, self-care, and symptom management.
Collaborate with oncologists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and the care team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and chemotherapy handling standards.
Provide compassionate care, advocacy, and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific).
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification required (or obtained within 6 months).
BLS/ACLS certification required.
Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience (oncology/infusion preferred).
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and IV skills.
Compassionate communication and patient advocacy skills.
