Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse β RN
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The IMCU RN will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and support, bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units. This role requires critical thinking, strong clinical skills, and the ability to respond quickly in high-acuity situations.
Deliver direct patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
Monitor and assess patientsβ conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygen needs.
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Respond to rapid changes in patient conditions and escalate care when necessary.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies.
Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols.
Current RN license (state-specific, active, unencumbered).
Minimum 1β2 years of acute care nursing experience (IMCU, Step-Down, Telemetry, or ICU preferred).
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts (days/nights, weekends, holidays as required)
