Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing urgent and critical care to patients in the emergency room setting. You will assess patients, administer medications, and provide ongoing support to patients and their families during times of crisis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the emergency room
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Previous experience in emergency room or critical care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
