📌 Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Adult RN) to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered psychiatric nursing care to adults experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to psychiatric crises.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in inpatient or outpatient settings.
Conduct psychiatric assessments, monitor patient conditions, and record observations.
Administer medications, monitor side effects, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
Manage psychiatric emergencies, de-escalate crisis situations, and ensure patient safety.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and coping strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Support group therapy and therapeutic activities as needed.
Promote a positive, therapeutic environment focused on recovery and stability.

📌 Requirements:

Current RN license (state-specific, active, unencumbered).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
Psychiatric nursing experience or behavioral health training required.
BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
Strong crisis intervention, de-escalation, and therapeutic communication skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
