We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE) credentials to join our healthcare team as a Diabetes Foot Care Specialist. The ideal candidate will provide expert diabetic foot care management, education, and preventive care to patients living with diabetes, helping them maintain foot health, prevent complications, and improve overall quality of life.
Conduct comprehensive foot assessments for patients with diabetes, identifying potential risks such as neuropathy, ulcers, or circulation issues.
Provide diabetes self-management education (DSME) and training in foot hygiene, footwear selection, and wound prevention.
Collaborate with endocrinologists, podiatrists, and wound care specialists to coordinate patient treatment plans.
Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, and patient follow-ups.
Educate patients and families about blood sugar control, lifestyle management, and prevention of diabetic complications.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
Ensure compliance with healthcare safety, infection control, and diabetic care standards.
Participate in community outreach and preventive education programs.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience in diabetic care, wound management, or foot care nursing preferred.
Strong understanding of diabetic pathophysiology, wound care protocols, and patient education principles.
Excellent communication, teaching, and patient counseling skills.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to holistic and preventive care.
Outpatient clinics, hospitals, or specialty diabetic care centers.
