We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Open Heart Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our cardiovascular surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nursing care before, during, and after open heart and cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during open heart and cardiovascular surgeries.
Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs, hemodynamic status, and anesthesia responses.
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments.
Administer medications, IVs, and blood products as directed.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and care.
Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and ICU teams for seamless patient transitions.
Document all aspects of care accurately and in compliance with hospital standards.
Respond promptly to emergencies and support critical care interventions.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BSN preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cardiac surgery, CVOR, or critical care required.
BLS and ACLS certification required; CCRN or CNOR certification preferred.
Strong technical, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical settings.
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and ICU setting.
Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
