Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Med Surg Acute Care

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Acute Care team. The ideal candidate will provide essential patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, supporting daily activities, patient comfort, and efficient unit operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
Measure and record vital signs, intake, and output as directed.
Assist nursing staff with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
Support patients with ambulation and positioning to prevent complications.
Maintain clean and safe patient rooms and equipment.
Observe and promptly report any changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge.
Ensure infection control and hospital safety standards are followed.
Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
Accurately document all patient care activities in the medical record.

Qualifications:

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in [state].
1+ year of experience in Med Surg or acute care preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered work ethic.

Work Environment:

Hospital-based Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Acute Care unit.
Rotating shifts — days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
