We are seeking an experienced and strategic Materials Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of materials management, including procurement, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient flow of materials to support production goals while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Plan, organize, and control the procurement, inventory, and distribution of materials and supplies.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Collaborate with production, planning, and procurement teams to align materials availability with demand forecasts.
Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Manage and optimize warehouse operations, including storage, safety, and documentation.
Oversee MRP/ERP systems for accurate material tracking and reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Analyze data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and mitigate supply chain risks.
Lead and mentor materials and warehouse staff to achieve departmental objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
7–10 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in inventory control methods, forecasting, and logistics management.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Certification such as CPIM, CSCP, or PMP is a plus.
Manufacturing, industrial, or healthcare facility setting.
May include occasional travel to supplier or vendor sites.
