Job Title: Infection Control Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Infection Control Nurse, you will be responsible for preventing and controlling the spread of infections within healthcare settings. You will develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct regular infection control assessments and audits
- Monitor compliance with infection control protocols
- Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control best practices
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop strategies for preventing and controlling infections
- Investigate and report on outbreaks of infections
- Participate in infection control committees and meetings
- Stay current on the latest research and guidelines in infection control
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and guidelines related to infection control
