Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care to residents in our Long Term Care (LTC) facility. The CNA will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor their health, and ensure their safety and comfort in a supportive, respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report changes to nursing staff.

• Provide nutritional support including feeding assistance and monitoring food and fluid intake.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

• Help residents with rehabilitation exercises and mobility programs.

• Document resident care accurately in accordance with facility policies.

• Assist in emergency situations following protocol.

• Promote emotional well-being and social engagement of residents.

• Follow infection control, safety, and privacy standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid CNA certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in LTC, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred.

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care procedures.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lift, transfer, and support residents safely.

Work Environment:

• LTC facility, nursing home, or similar healthcare setting.

• Shift-based schedule including day, evening, or night shifts.

• Hands-on patient care requiring physical stamina and empathy.
