We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. The Medical Biller is responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing patient insurance claims, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining timely follow-up to secure maximum reimbursement for healthcare services. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the financial health of the organization.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify accuracy of patient information, diagnosis codes (ICD-10), and procedure codes (CPT).
Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims (electronic and paper).
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, ensuring prompt resolution.
Post payments and reconcile patient accounts.
Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances.
Stay updated on insurance policies, government regulations, and billing compliance standards (HIPAA).
Collaborate with the coding and finance teams to improve billing accuracy and efficiency.

🎓 Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Billing/Coding preferred.
1–2 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management.
Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems and billing software.
Understanding of insurance claim processes and reimbursement procedures.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
