Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

🩺 Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The RN PCU is responsible for delivering specialized nursing care to acutely ill patients who require close monitoring and advanced clinical support — bridging the gap between ICU and Med-Surg levels of care.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care and continuous cardiac/telemetry monitoring.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Manage patients requiring intermediate-level care, such as post-surgical, cardiac, or respiratory support.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as ordered.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate effectively with physicians.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

🎓 Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred).
1–2 years of acute care, telemetry, or ICU experience preferred.
Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

💼 Work Environment:

Hospital Progressive Care or Step-Down Unit.
12-hour shifts, day or night availability.
