ICU/CCU Float Pool Nurse (Intensive Care / Coronary Care Unit)

💼 Job Description:

The ICU/CCU Float Pool Nurse provides high-level critical care nursing to patients in both Intensive Care (ICU) and Coronary Care (CCU) Units. This role requires adaptability, advanced clinical knowledge, and strong critical-thinking skills to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care across multiple critical care units.

You will float between ICU and CCU based on patient acuity and hospital needs, ensuring timely interventions, monitoring vital signs, and supporting life-saving procedures for patients with complex medical or cardiac conditions.

⚕️ Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in ICU and CCU settings, including ventilator and cardiac monitoring.

• Administer medications, infusions, and titrate drips according to physician orders.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

• Respond to code blue, rapid response, and other critical situations promptly.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

• Float seamlessly across units while maintaining high standards of patient care.

🎓 Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current state license.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Minimum 2–3 years of recent ICU/CCU experience.

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator management.
