Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg Adult Oncology / Neuro

📝 Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Med-Surg Adult Oncology/Neuro RN to provide exceptional care to adult patients with oncology-related conditions and neurological disorders.
This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, monitoring, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care.
Ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and are passionate about supporting patients during complex health journeys.

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in Med-Surg, Oncology, and Neurology units

• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor vital signs, neuro status, and symptom progression

• Administer medications, chemotherapy (if certified), IV therapies, and blood products

• Manage central lines, ports, and other specialized oncology/neuro equipment

• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the EMR

• Collaborate with physicians, oncologists, neurologists, therapists, and other healthcare team members

• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge care

• Implement fall precautions, pain management, safety protocols, and infection control standards

• Respond to rapid changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions

🎓 Qualifications:

• Active & unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Minimum 1 year experience in Med-Surg, Oncology, or Neurology required

• OCN certification or Chemo/biotherapy certification preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments

• Experience with EMR documentation
