Histology Technician / Histotechnologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histology Technician (Histotechnologist) to prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining specimens to assist pathologists in diagnosing diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological examination

• Perform embedding, microtomy (sectioning), and staining of tissue samples

• Use special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC) techniques when required

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microtomes and tissue processors

• Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and storage of specimens

• Follow laboratory safety, quality control, and compliance standards

• Assist pathologists with diagnostic support

• Maintain accurate records and reports

• Troubleshoot technical issues in specimen preparation

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related field

• Certification as HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) preferred

• Experience in histology laboratory procedures

• Knowledge of tissue processing, staining, and microscopy

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment
