Job Title: Nurse Manager, Phone Triage
Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager, Phone Triage is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of nurses who provide telephone triage services to patients. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and guidelines, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The Nurse Manager will also collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and supervise a team of nurses providing phone triage services
- Develop and implement protocols and guidelines for phone triage
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate care for patients
- Monitor and analyze quality outcomes and performance metrics
- Provide training and support to staff members
- Handle escalated patient calls or issues
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, required; Master's degree preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with phone triage protocols and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
