Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Ortho/Neuro/Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ortho/Neuro/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing orthopedic, neurological, and surgical procedures. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RN will collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patient conditions and providing appropriate nursing care
2. Monitoring vital signs and responding to any changes in patient status
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
4. Educating patients and their families on post-operative care and rehabilitation
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
6. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
7. Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
8. Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic, neurological, or surgical nursing
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
