Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Summary:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various tests on patient samples to provide accurate and timely results for diagnosis and treatment. You will work closely with medical technologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the proper functioning of the laboratory and the quality of patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Analyze test results and report findings to medical staff for further evaluation.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in training and supervising laboratory assistants and other staff members.
- Keep up-to-date with new developments in laboratory technology and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized accrediting agency.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
