🧬 Manager of Laboratory Services (Lab Manager) – Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager of Laboratory Services to oversee and coordinate all operations within our clinical laboratory. The Lab Manager will ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality lab results while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all clinical laboratory departments including hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, and blood bank.
Supervise and support laboratory staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (CLIA, CAP, CMS, OSHA, etc.) and institutional policies.
Oversee quality control and quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of laboratory accuracy.
Monitor and manage laboratory budget, inventory, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and administrators to support optimal patient care.
Prepare and lead accreditation inspections and audits.
Analyze workflow and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and turnaround times.
Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
ASCP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of clinical lab experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of lab regulations and best practices.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time | Day Shift | On-call responsibilities may apply
