Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Your primary goal will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients by assisting with daily activities and monitoring their health status.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Helping patients with mobility and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers
- Assisting with medical procedures, such as wound care and catheterization
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families
- Documenting patient care activities in medical records
- Following infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Maintaining a clean and organized patient environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a CNA
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move patients
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
