Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing basic care to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of registered nurses. Your primary duties will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, measuring vital signs, and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing and dressing.
2. Help patients with mobility and transferring from bed to wheelchair.
3. Take and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
4. Serve meals and provide assistance with feeding, if necessary.
5. Keep patients' living areas clean and organized.
6. Follow care plans developed by registered nurses or other medical staff.
7. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
8. Document patient interactions and care provided in medical records.
9. Report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
10. Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
3. Current CNA certification in the state of employment.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
7. Basic computer skills for documenting patient care.
8. Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
9. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
10. Current CPR certification preferred.
