Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. They assist with routine healthcare tasks, such as monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and dressing wounds, to ensure the well-being of patients. LPNs work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medication and treatment to patients
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Assist with personal care, such as bathing and dressing
- Perform wound care and dressing changes
- Collaborate with physicians and registered nurses to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families about their healthcare needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Current LPN license in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients as needed
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- CPR certification
