Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of licensed nurses. Your primary role will be to assist patients with daily activities, monitor their health status, and ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with mobility and range of motion exercises
- Keep patients' living spaces clean and organized
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Follow care plans and instructions from licensed nurses
- Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a CNA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
