Job Title: Emergency Department RN (Emergency Room Nurse)
Job Summary:
The Emergency Department RN is responsible for providing high quality care to patients in the emergency room setting. They assess patients, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in crisis situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the emergency department
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
3. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
4. Assist with emergency procedures and interventions as needed
5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
6. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
8. Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and treatments
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room nursing
4. Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
8. Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs
