Job Title: Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As a Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Your role will involve administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and evaluating patients' medical conditions
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitoring and documenting patients' progress
4. Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop care plans
5. Educating patients and families on post-discharge care
6. Providing emotional support to patients and their families
7. Assisting with wound care and other procedures as needed
8. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures
9. Maintaining accurate medical records
10. Monitoring and reporting any changes in patients' conditions
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting
3. BLS and ACLS certification
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask
8. Strong attention to detail
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
10. Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
