Job Title: Registered Nurse Hospice RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse Hospice RN to provide end-of-life care to patients in their homes or in hospice facilities. The RN will work closely with patients and their families to coordinate care, manage pain and symptoms, and provide emotional support during this challenging time.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patient conditions, create care plans, and provide skilled nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and update care plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on end-of-life care and comfort measures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and families
- Knowledge of end-of-life care principles and practices
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
